Parks in Columbia, SC

Many of the parks are free of admission. But some of them charge a few dollars. I like the following parks in Columbia particularly:

Free of admission:
Earlewood Park (
Riverfront Park (
Finlay Park (
Congaree Swamp National Monument (
Harbison State Forest ( - free for hiking. $5 for parking. $5 for bicycling
Seven Oaks Park ( -Free maybe

P.S. there are three entrance to the River Front Park: one at Laurel St., one at Meeting St next to Gervais St., and one at Board River Rd. Every one is very good.

Parks charge for admissions/parking:
SCE&G Lake Murray Park ( - $3 parking fee for cars
Saluda Shoals Park ( -$4 for a car maybe
Sesquicentennial State Park ( - $2 adults; $1.25 SC seniors; age 15 & younger free
Lake Wateree State Recreation Area ( - $2 adults; $1.25 SC seniors; age 15 & younger free
Riverbanks Zoo ( - $9.75 adults; $7.25 SC children (3-12 yo), children under 3 free. Or join their membership for discount.

The admission/parking fees may change over time. Please check online before you go.
